As part of the 3rd Infantry Division the 90 Armoured Brigade Company would have landed on Sword Beach on D-Day. The unit were responsible for the movement of supplies to the forward troops. It was whilst carrying out this work that the unit was bombed on several occasions during the 8th June, suffering the following casualties; 7 wounded, 1 killed and 11 missing presumed killed.
